Special Report! Water Works Ponds 2006 Workshops

Water Works Ponds was proud to host another successful program of hands-on educational workshops for professional contractors and budding pond enthusiasts alike.

 

All workshops were led by Water Works Ponds proprietor Kevin Weitzel, one of the most experienced quality pond builders in Canada. Not just Edmonton or Alberta – Canada! Every workshop had a full Water Works Ponds construction crew to assist the workshop participants. The number of participants is always capped to ensure quality education.

All sites were a ‘blank canvas’ and construction started at 8am sharp. Each step of the construction process was thoroughly explained and then implemented.  By participating though all the steps whether it be observing or getting right in there doing it, workshop participant’s gain invaluable education for their own project construction. In so doing, construction efficiency is improved and costly mistakes are avoided.

As part of the workshop program, construction techniques are explained on why we make the natural looking water features they way we do. Pond equipment attributes are explained. This illustrates why we are very picky on which equipment we are willing to support to handle the conditions we have during a harsh Alberta winter. We want you to enjoy your new water feature problem free season after season.

Every year our seasoned pond building crews are busy constructing quality natural looking ponds. Our pond season is only so long and we can’t build them all, so we are pleased to offer these quality workshops allowing pond enthusiasts to build their own private aquatic paradise. It would be very fair to say that every season over thirty percent of our construction crew’s time is spent repairing, modifying or worse yet – have to completely gut out a failed  pond and start all over due to ‘experienced’ contractors shoddy workmanship or installation of incorrect or flawed mainstream pond equipment.  Water Works Ponds wants to get this statistic eliminated and our workshops is part of that commitment.
