Build a Pond Day Course
Learn hands-on with the professionals at WATER WORKS PONDS on how to install a beautiful low maintenance water garden. WATER WORKS PONDS is the premiere water garden installer and supplier in the greater Edmonton area. With the instruction and education you receive from the course you will have the knowledge and skills to successfully build a beautiful, trouble free Pond.
From the course you will learn how to:
- Follow Proper sequence of steps for successful installation
- Choose an ideal location
- Excavate the multi level water containment area with proper construction techniques
- Properly use and install of underlay and pond liner
- Connect and install the pump, manifold components, skimmer, aqua falls and waterfill unit
- waterfall construction and rock placement
Your Water Works Ponds instructor will also guide you through the importance and role of:
- Biological filtration
- Deciding on what size and shape is best for your pond
- Aesthetics and filtration properties of the rock
- Assembling and connecting the plumbing and waterfill valve
- Effective use and selection of lighting
- Grading, berming and working out the cost and quantity of rock required
- Correct techniques of moving large rock
- Protecting your liner
- An effective maintenance program
- Aquatic Plants & Fish
